Bisun is a Remote Sensing specialist with more than 20 years’ experience in the analysis of satellite and airborne imagery. He gained his PhD in Remote Sensing in 1999 from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He completed his BSc in Physics and Mathematics, Graduate Diploma in Physics, Graduate Certificate in Education, and MSc in Soil Physics at the University of The South Pacific, Fiji.
Prior to joining CarbonLink, Bisun worked in government departments, academia, research organizations, and the commercial remote sensing sector in Australia. He has worked in Remote Sensing R&D and Applications at CSIRO, University of New South Wales, Defence Science and Technology (DST), HyVista Corporation, Fugro, Northern Territory Government, and Curtin University.
Bisun works in the Mapping Team at CarbonLink. His main role is in the analysis of Satellite Imagery for classification of landcover and in helping develop procedures and algorithms for spatial analysis and machine learning applications.
